How to Set Subtitles on YouTube Videos & Reach More Viewers

In today’s article, I am going to tell you about a simple method through which you can reach different language viewers with your YouTube videos.

If you want viewers from India to watch your videos as well, this method can be very useful for you.

Go to YouTube Studio

First, we will go to YouTube Studio.

After opening YouTube Studio, click on Subtitles.

Here, you will see all the videos on your channel.

Now, select the video on which you want to add subtitles.

Select Your Video Language

Now, you will see an option to select the language of your video.

My video is in Urdu, so I will select Urdu here.

But if you want to target viewers from India, you can add Hindi subtitles.

And if you want to target the USA or an English-speaking audience, select English and add English subtitles.

Add Hindi Subtitles

Now click on the Subtitles option next to Hindi.

After that, scroll down a little and click on Publish.

Translate the Title and Description

But there is another important thing here.

You should also set your video’s title and description in the target language.

For this, I will copy my original video title and use ChatGPT to convert the title and description into Hindi.

Then I will paste the Hindi title and description here, set them, and click on Publish.

Target Different Languages

Now, when a viewer watches your video on YouTube and selects the Hindi language, they may see your video’s Hindi subtitles and translated information.

In the same way, you can target different languages and reach new audiences with your videos.

Increase Your Chances of Getting Views and Subscribers

But remember, simply adding subtitles does not guarantee views. The video topic, thumbnail, title, audience interest, and content quality are also very important.
